Insightful Creator #9 - They Are Trying To Kill Your Mind

You must survive for the sake of your descendants and ancestors.

Read time: 5 minutes.

Welcome back, creators.

In my newsletters I like to pour down my thoughts in absolutely unindexed and free form, purely to show off my thought process without Twitters' 280 character limit.

Yet when you look at most social media, they are able to hook your attention for hours - sometimes with even less characters.

Today we shall discuss how social media and mainstream news are slaughtering your creativity, taking away your chance to achieve freedom and overall, kill your soul.

Let's get into it.

The social plague

It wasn't that noticeable until Covid hit - people got locked down at homes and had nothing to do in real world so they hopped online.

What happened next was simply a bloodbath.

You might think that I'm exagerrating, but I'm not.

The main thing with that is people got separated into two groups:

  • Those who fell victim to social media, procrastination and drowned

  • Those who saw through this and adapted unscathed

Now, let's recall the fact that it hit us early on in 2020 - which was over 3 years ago. To this day, some people have not yet recovered from the social media addiction and are still left in there, drowning.

Now here's what is there for you: In 5 years some people will be absolutely smashed down to the ground, and some will climb to become the top 1%.

We harness the opportunity by walking down on the corpses

Now, that is extremely controversial - but it's true.

Take big, fast growing YouTube accounts for example. Some of their viewers are people addicted heavily to youtube, watching it notoriously, unable to even act on the knowledge they learn.

Yet the creator harnesses the benefits:

  • Monetisation

  • Views, followers and flex

  • New opportunities

  • New connections

Notice how the gap between the creator and consumer is insane.

All you need to do is to become a creator before the gap between those and consumers is too great to be leapt across.

Going back to the headline - yes, those consumers are, or soon will be those walking corpses - shell of formerly great men, devoured by destructive system.

People despise change when resistance appears

A very logical question could follow:

  • "Seb, I'm sure that many people have already realised the destructive ways of endless consumption - and it would be clear to assume that many would try to change. If so, why there are so little creators?"

The answer would be quite simple and clear in fact - resistance or obstacles make people simply hate the change, they deem it impossible or too painful to be undertaken.

The key takeaway from this is for you to keep pushing beyond the point everyone gives up - that's where real men are made.

In the age of endless mindless consumption where people are literally succumbing to concepts deemed unethical, wasteful and destructive great many years ago you must strive to be vastly different from others.

The point is - the journey will be hard. But you can make it easier.

Undertake this journey together

Recalling this fact might be like beating a dead horse already, but I have to do it yet again to show you an enlightening comparison.

In times of renaissance great men conveyed and connected in one singular knowledge trade hub - Great City of Venice.

Why did they do it?

  • Pursuing a hard, unique path yourself gets hard

  • Being alone for extended periods of time is overwhelming

  • It's usually much simpler and easier to accomplish your own goals

All in all you need to find your tribe to undertake this journey together.

Shift your life around

You need to swap from consumer based to creator based mind paradigm.

You need to find a rolemodel to follow - it makes starting the journey much easier.

I take that if you are reading this newsletter you already undertook the creator journey.

If so, congrats. I'm proud of you. However, many people still didn't, and it shows.

The person who pushed me to my limits was Dan Koe. I watched this video - a food for your thought today. Dig it in.

I highly recommend you watch it.

I'm not going to bullshit you - the modern society is trying to destroy you in more ways than one.

Endless doomscrolling, flashy ads, normalising idiocracy and overall pointless and mindless elements of modern life shifts insanity more and more into what modern world becomes.

You must break free. For the sake of yourself, your ancestors and your children.

Break free.

Sebastian, out.
