Insightful Creator #11 - Unique Growth Booster
99% of people either miss on this, or do it incorrectly.
Read time: 5 minutes.
Welcome back, creators
If you don't know already I released my first ever product yesterday. The Twitter Blueprints.
Gained 400+ follows, earned over $50 in tips - for a free product. Made over 300 sales.
In this issue I'll discuss some behind the scenes process of creation, releasing and curating it - so you can create a banger giveaway to boost your growth. A practical guide for maximum 5 minutes of your time.
Let's dig in.
Why giveaways
Giveaways are the fastest way to dynamically grow your account, by simply using your knowledge and creating a sought after product.
What can you create? Well:
Ebooks
Notion templates
A-Z guides in Google Docs
Looms and videos
Community invites
Etc...
There are tons of ideas you can use. But I've focused on actually making both of them at the same time. I released:
An ebook
Notion resource list
Why? Let me explain.
Value always comes first
You need to show your worth and the value of your product for anyone to buy it.
I noticed that most people do singular product giveaway
They overprice it after
So I created 2 in 1 offer
Sent it out for free for first 24 hours
Priced at $29 after
"Seb, but why do we want to go low ticket?"
The answer is simple - you want to reach the greatest amount of people possible.
And going low ticket + high value allows you to do so.
Ideation
Probably the easiest step. Ask yourself those questions:
Who do I want to reach and help?
What is the purpose behind creating this giveaway?
What is the main idea behind it?
Do I want it to be widespread or specifically targetted?
Do I want it to be shortform or longform?
Do I want to write it down or use other form of content?
How long do I want to spend on the project - and how long the customer should digest it?
For me the answers for those were:
Solopreneurs, writers, people fascinated with Twitter growth and monetisation
Helping people, by sharing my own knowledge
Twitter growth and monetisation
Widespread
Longform
Yes, written down
Preferably 20-40h myself, let the reader complete the lecture in 1-2h
Writing an ebook was most viable option. Connecting with the 2 in 1 concept I added Notion resource list as a bonus.
Pricing?
I checked similar ebooks released by creators at similar follower range. Easiest practice you could use.
$29 was the price of the ebooks I've found. So I priced my 2 in 1 package the same to easily beat the competition.
Creation
Creation process was quite simple:
Main focus on writing down my ebook
Spend 1/5th the time writing down the resource list
I focused most of my time (30+hrs) on creating my ebook.
Here's the easy template to create a layout of your product:
Main idea
Interlude with contents
No fluff appetiser
Use the Rule of Four framework to keep the customer engaged
Funnel your services/products at the end
The key here is cutting all the fluff.
I should also add these:
Take breaks
Create for 2-3h, edit later on
Sleep, come back to the ideas later and refine
You don't want to create it in one go.
Release
Extremely easy to follow template:
Resources and templates - Notion
Ebooks and posts - Canva
Videos - Loom
Platform to release on - Gumroad
Documents - Google Docs
Basic template, you don't need more. Unless you want to ideate later down the line.
The key is getting people to give their emails. I already mentioned why you want to build and emailing list several times, both on Twitter and my newsletter.
I gained around 300+ emails from my product.
What should be noted:
AutoDMs will screw up pretty quickly
If you DM manually (like I did) it's going to take all day. You will get shadowbanned too
Keep it 24/48h offer. Give it a pricetag afterwards.
Monitor and curate it often. For graphics - just use Canva. It's the easiest to create a good design if you're into that.
Summary
Get a rough idea of what the giveaway should be
Use my 7 Questions framework to get a grasp of how it will be created
Canva, Looms, Notion, Gumroad is your ultimate toolstack
Focus on doing it in portions, edit and refine it often
AutoDMs and both manual DMs suck. That's the nature of it
Use RT+ comment + follow format for high value giveaway
Use comment + follow format for basic giveaway
Curate it often
Monetise it after 24/48h period
Results
Here is my product.
1 Ebook
500+ Swipefiles
400+ Resources
Tons of freebies inside
Check it out if you want - to either get inspiration or invest in yourself. It's my A-Z framework on Twitter growth and monetisation.
I'm not persuading or forcing you to buy it. Just feel free to give it a look. Might help in creating your own giveaway.
I apologise for not writing this issue yesterday, I troubled myself exactly with my giveaway.
This template is getting released as a thread later on, when I get unshadowbanned - as a thanks for reading my newsletter you're getting it much earlier.
Let me know if you need more insights on such topic. I thought about shifting my newsletter to exactly blueprint based one.
Have a great Saturday my friend. See you in a week.
Seb, out
